Come rain or shine

Easy care. Long-lasting performance.

Damixa Outdoor is designed to live outdoors – through rain, sunlight, salty air and changing temperatures. The series is crafted from Stainless Steel AISI 316, a material particularly well suited for outdoor use.

When a product is exposed to the elements all year round, the surroundings will naturally affect the surface over time. With clean water, a soft cloth and gentle cleaning habits, you can help preserve its elegant appearance for many years. Over time, the surface may be affected by conditions such as salt, limescale, air pollution, sunlight, UV exposure and small airborne metal particles, which can settle as surface rust. This is a natural part of having a product installed outdoors throughout the seasons. With mild cleaning and simple care routines, you can help your Damixa Outdoor product stay beautiful for longer.

Here are 3 good Outdoor tips

– and many more in the FAQ below.

Rinse with clean water

coast, by a pool or spa, or in areas with high levels of limescale, salt or air pollution.

Wipe it dry when possible

A soft cloth makes a big difference. Wiping the product dry helps reduce visible water spots, limescale marks and salt residue.

Clean gently

Use mild soap, clean water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid chlorine, acids, abrasive cleaners and scouring sponges.

Daily care

How often should I clean my Damixa Outdoor product?
It depends on where the product is installed. As a rule of thumb, we recommend rinsing it regularly with clean water and wiping it dry with a soft cloth. If the product is placed close to the sea, by a pool or spa, or in areas with high levels of limescale or air pollution, it may benefit from more frequent care.
What is the best way to clean the product?
Use clean water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge. Always rinse afterwards with clean water, and wipe the surface dry when possible. This helps reduce limescale marks, salt residue and visible water spots.
Should I wipe the product dry after use?
Not every time, but it is a good habit – especially if the water has a high limescale content, or if the product is installed in a coastal environment. Wiping the product dry helps the surface stay beautiful for longer.
Can the product remain outdoors all year round?
Yes. Damixa Outdoor is developed for outdoor use and changing Nordic weather conditions. The fixed wall-mounted solutions are designed with integrated frost management, while the flexible solutions require the water supply to be shut off and the hose to be disconnected, allowing the system to drain during cold

Limescale, salt and surface rust

Why do limescale marks appear on the surface?
Limescale comes from the water and may appear as light marks when water droplets dry on the surface. This is common for products used outdoors. Rinse with clean water, wipe dry with a soft cloth, and remove limescale regularly using gentle cleaning methods.
What is surface rust?
Surface rust is caused by small metal particles from the surroundings that settle on the surface and may look like rust stains. It can come from airborne particles, tools, fences, railways, construction work or other nearby metal sources. Surface rust is not a sign of poor steel quality and can usually be removed with gentle cleaning if treated in time.
What should I do if I notice small brown spots?
Remove them as early as possible using mild soap, clean water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid scrubbing hard or using abrasive cleaning products. The sooner you remove deposits, the easier they are to clean away.
Do products installed close to the sea require extra care?
Yes. Salty air and sea spray can settle on the surface. If the product is installed close to the coast, we recommend rinsing it more often with clean water and wiping it dry with a soft cloth. This helps reduce salt residue and preserve a clean appearance.

Surface and appearance over time

Will the surface change over time?
All products installed outdoors are naturally affected by their surroundings. Salt, limescale, sunlight, air pollution and changing weather conditions may gradually create patina or small visual changes on the surface. With regular cleaning and wiping, you can help the product stay beautiful for longer.
Is it normal for Midnight Black to change appearance over time?
Dark surfaces can be more sensitive to visible water spots, limescale, dust and the effects of sunlight. Regular cleaning and wiping will help preserve an even and beautiful appearance.
What does Stainless Steel AISI 316 mean?
Stainless Steel AISI 316 is a strong grade of stainless steel that is particularly well suited for outdoor environments with moisture, rain and changing temperatures.
Does stainless steel mean the product never needs cleaning?
No. Stainless steel is highly robust, but all outdoor surfaces benefit from regular care. Cleaning removes salt, limescale, dirt and small particles before they have time to settle on the surface.

Winter, frost and seasonal use

Do I need to do anything special during winter?
integrated installation are developed with frost management, where the valves are placed inside the building and the system is designed to drain after use. Flexible solutions connected to a garden hose require the water supply to be shut off and the hose to be disconnected, allowing the water to drain out.
Should the garden hose be disconnected?
Yes. If your product is connected to a garden hose, the hose must be disconnected during cold periods to allow the system to drain correctly.
Can the freestanding shower be used all year round?
The freestanding shower is developed for flexible, seasonal use. It is connected via a garden hose and is easy to set up and remove again. During cold periods, the water supply must be shut off and the hose disconnected, allowing the system to drain.
What is the difference between automatic and manual drainage?
Automatic drainage applies to fixed installations, where the solution is designed with valves placed inside the wall, automatic drainage and a built-in 2° slope that helps guide water out of the system. Manual drainage applies to flexible solutions, where you must shut off the water supply and disconnect the garden hose yourself, allowing the product to drain.

Cleaning products: What can I use?

cleaning products can I use?
Always rinse afterwards with clean water to ensure that no soap residue remains on the surface.
What should I avoid?
Avoid chlorine, acidic cleaning products, strong descaling agents, steel wool, scouring powder and abrasive sponges. These may damage the surface or make it more susceptible to marks.
Can I use regular descaling products?
We recommend being careful with strong descaling products. Instead, use gentle cleaning methods and regular wiping. If limescale marks appear, it is best to remove them early and gently.
